Botox  and Fillers How they work and how to make them work better?

People who are familiar with my writing already know that a favor a holistic approach to skin care. Diet and moderation from alcohol and smoking are part of maintaining a good skin. One cannot abuse one system and expect a quick fix, or a visit to a plastic surgeon will make it better.A beautiful skin is your commitment to yourself. Love yourself.

You cannot expect the human machine will work for ever with out proper maintenance, do you?

As a long time student of anti aging and cosmetic scientist I know that cosmetic alone won’t do it. Plastic surgery won’t do it. If any body telling you the contrary they are lying to you!

There are no permanent quick fixes! Actor can change their appearance according to the persona they plays and spend countless hours with makeup artists, Are you acting? Is your life just a big comedy? If so one day you will have to face reality! And this day will come!

If you neglected yourself for a long period of time, the money you are willing to spend to reverse the process is in direct relation to how fast you will recover. But within reason, you may have reached some point where permanent damage has been done. You will have to live with the consequences. The steps you are willing to take from now on will make the difference in your appearance. If you feel that you need plastic surgery, or Botox and / or fillers is the solution to your problems, fine. But do your home work, talk at least to 3 plastic surgeons, ask questions, do research on product and procedures, It’s your body!

Botox and fillers:

Botox is in a class by itself, is a muscle relaxant based in a safe toxin, Botox is a trade name for the botulinum toxin A. The botulinum toxins block the signals that would normally tell your muscles to contract. The effect will last few months, and the process will have to be started all over again.

Fillers: they are many, some come from porcine extraction and others are synthesized. They usually are closely related to human and modified by chemical manipulations.  The three most used are: Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, and micro spheres. Micro spheres are suspended within a gel carrier. The gel carrier gradually dissolves and your own tissue gradually grows in and around the particles. The micro spheres provide support for your own body’s soft tissue growth. I will not talk about each brands of fillers, they are to numerous for this article.

The best known Collagen filler is Zyplast. The best known Hyaluronic Acid filler is Restylane.

Zyplast is more difficult to apply and need to be tested on your body for compatibility but Restylane is not. Furthermore tests studies between Zyplast and Restylane showed over 50% better results with Restylane. This is a no brainier. Collagen filler are on their way out. The best known Micro sphere filler is Radiesse.  Test studies have been done between Radiesse and Restylane. Radiesse seems to be the winner! According to some study it last twice as long. In my opinion the fillers war is not over and the winner may not been born yet.

The common denominator is: They will all over a short time, fully dissipate!
