Reveal: the Madison Facial it list

How TSS massage is actual skin health.

Why the + is the ultimate.

Let’s get straight to it: if you’re tired of shaving, waxing, or battling ingrown hairs, laser hair reduction is your best bet. It’s efficient, long-lasting, and—if you’re in the right hands—practically painless.

But before you book an appointment, there are a few things you need to know. The good, the bad, and the slightly annoying (looking at you, blondes).

1. The Machine Matters—And TSS’s Is Painless.

Not all laser hair removal is created equal. If you’ve heard horror stories about zapping pain and burning sensations, it’s probably because they weren’t using the right machine. Our laser is next-level—painless, efficient, and designed to target hair without frying your skin in the process.

If you’ve been avoiding laser because you thought it would hurt, consider this your sign to finally book it.

2. Prep Is Everything.

Laser hair reduction works by targeting the pigment in your hair follicles, which means the better you prep, the better your results.

Here’s what to do before your appointment:

  • Shave 24 hours before. You want the laser to reach the follicle, not get distracted by surface hair.
  • Skip the sun. Tanned skin can mess with the laser’s accuracy and increase the risk of irritation. If you’ve been in the sun, wait before scheduling.
  • No waxing, plucking, or tweezing. The laser needs the hair follicle intact to do its job.
  • Ditch the heavy lotions and deodorants. Show up with clean, dry skin—no oils, creams, or anything that could interfere with the laser.

3. Blonde? Sorry, This Isn’t for You.

Blondes may have more fun, but not when it comes to laser hair removal. The technology works by detecting pigment in the hair, so if your hair is white, gray, red, or very light blonde, the laser won’t pick it up.

Dark-haired brunettes? You’re the ideal candidate. Blondes? It’s a no-go. And no, unfortunately, no amount of wishful thinking or “maybe it’ll work on me” will change that.

4. It’s a Process—But Worth It.

Laser hair reduction isn’t instant. It takes multiple sessions (usually 6–8) to see full results because hair grows in cycles. Some follicles are active, some are dormant, and the laser only works on the active ones.

So if you’re planning to be hair-free by summer, start now. Spacing out sessions every 4–6 weeks means the sooner you begin, the sooner you’ll be done.

5. What Happens After?

  • No hot showers or workouts for 24 hours. Your skin will be a little sensitive, so keep things cool and calm.
  • Some redness is normal. It fades quickly, but a little post-laser pinkness is expected.
  • The hair doesn’t fall out instantly. You’ll notice it shedding over the next 1–2 weeks—this is normal and exactly what you want.
  • Stick with the full series. Skipping sessions means missing follicles, and that means patchy results.

6. The Best Part? The Freedom.

Once you’re done, you’re done. No more emergency shaving. No more waxing appointments. No more ingrown hairs or razor burn. Just smooth, soft skin—without the constant maintenance.
